Director of Digital Analytics and BI

New York, United States Full-time

Location: New York, United States

If you are looking for that one-in-a-million job opportunity please read this ad slowly.

We are looking for a Director of Analytics and BI who is that rare breed of dot-connector, entrepreneur and obsessive about data visualizations and deck writing. Below are key aspects of the role.

Large Data Set of User Level Data.

In this role you will be in charge of mining and analyzing extremely large data sets of longitudinal user level data to pull out the insights, user stories, trends, KPIs and benchmarking across email, CRM and web data.

Compelling Data Visualizations.

You will be the conceptual brains of designing simple yet engaging (pixel-perfect) ways of communicating the stories for program and content performance reporting, content strategy and customer facing content itself (data as content).

Insight Development.

You will work across the teams to pull out the meaning behind the numbers and then craft a concise and informative narrative in keynote decks. You will then play a key role in presenting to senior level clients, identifying user behaviors, interests and actions.

Dashboard Development.

You will lead the Data Engineer to maintain and evolve our client-facing Tableau, and play a key role in evolving to a D3 based dashboard (including UX and design) environment that is part of our proprietary platform that leverages machine learning.

Leadership Team.

You will be on the leadership team of seven (including CEO) and have a voice in moving the company forward. The company is in high growth mode, and the culture is drama free. Once you get plugged in and past your learning curve, you will add to the size of the team and determine the best structure. We currently have two data engineers, one responsible for ETL and one for Tableau environment.

ERGO Interactive designs, develops, deploys and optimizes Smart Content for our blue chip clients. The best way to explain it would be to envision reading your favorite magazine, and every page you turn it became more relevant to you and it seemed like it was able to anticipate your changing interests, needs and intentions.
