Director of Marketing Analytics


ERGO is a technology company that specializes in data-driven content for our Fortune 1000 clients. We use big data to drive our Smart Content modules for email and web. We have a technology platform and a sophisticated big data environment.

We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Director of Marketing Analytics to play a key role and lead a team of data scientists developing marketing insights through deep and innovative analytics.

You will be on the leadership team, report directly to the CEO, and play a key role in helping to shape our data strategy.

You will design the overall marketing analytics strategy in order to identify key strategic insights in the bigger picture, and support ongoing automated adaptive content and journey optimization.

As a Director of Marketing Analytics you will be responsible for creating well-designed marketing analytics to make smarter and more informed business decisions and improve overall business strategy. 

You will be exposed to and learn about algorithmic and machine learning–driven content.

Director of Marketing Analytics duties and responsibilities

  • Plan and implement overall marketing analytics strategy
  • Define most important KPIs to track and measure
  • Define different KPIs for different channels
  • Explain to and train employees on existing and new marketing analytics and attribution strategies
  • Collaborate across ERGO disciplines and leaders, as well as with clients
  • Develop testing and forecasting strategies to stand up, and optimize always-on programs leveraging big data


Director of Marketing Analytics requirements


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
  • 8–10 years of experience with analytic techniques, statistical modeling, and digital marketing analytics 
  • Ability to extract meaningful information and narratives from data
  • Suggest action for improvement based on insights from data 
  • Expert in spreadsheets and deck writing, at minimum (Tableau and BI tools ideally)
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
